Different adhesive application solutions
In our contract adhesive services, we use several different types of adhesive coating technology. Different bonding issues require different approaches to coating, as well as different adhesive materials. We generally use either rubber or acrylic adhesives, since both are strong, sturdy and durable. As we offer inhouse coating solutions, we are always able to customize and adjust our coatings to whatever is needed for your bonding surface. Below, we explain the difference between the several high-quality adhesive coatings we offer.
Zone coating
Zone coating means that an adhesive is only coated in specific areas, instead of all over. This optimizes the performance and minimizes the use of adhesives, whilst still providing a strong bond.
Dot coating
Dot coating is a type of precision adhesive application in which small dots of adhesive material are placed all over a surface in a precise, controlled pattern. The dots can be adjusted per inch, so we can always offer custom adhesive coating for any sort of bonding issue.
Slot die coating
Slot die coating helps us determine the right thickness of an adhesive coating. The adhesive is applied with the use of a slot die, which in turn controls the amount of adhesive that is released per layer. This makes it easy to maintain the right thickness for our adhesive coating specialists.
Curtain coating
Lastly, curtain coating is generally used to create a very thin, all over layer of (transfer) adhesive.
